It's a sad situation for Donnie. I couldn't bear losing my sister's all at once. This is really good. I saw the step by step. I'm amazed how many layers were added to create such an awesome piece of art.
This turtle has always been my favorite turtle if you ever asked me why I could not tell you except a part of me as always related to him in some way or just wanted to be like him. Your artwork is amazing this is an emotional piece for sure and thank you for sharing your art. My son love the turtles and hes in awe as well.
I can honestly say that I'm not surprised that the other three each have their own DD. This series of drawings is bitter sweet. The art in each of them is beautiful and heartrending at the same time. You've done well here and congrats on all of the DDs you've received along the way.
I love all of the "Goodbye" series, but I have to say, this one of Donnie was the one that got me misty eyed when I first saw it. Maybe it's because Donatello is my favorite... Maybe it's because I had already had my stomach knotted by the other three and this was the K.O. point, I dunno. But I love it! <3 Thank you for being wonderful!
" Before the battle between good and evil, Donatello had made a plan to finally get rid of the foot and Shredder, but master Splinter told him that his plan would eventually become futile. Leonardo insisted on Don's plan and went into battle with the turtles. The battle was going according all to Dons' plan, but alas at the end of the battle Shredder had one final trick up his sleeve. Shredder activated a bomb that destroyed almost all of the city. Unfortunately Donny was the only turtle to escape, after awhile of mourning for his brothers he made a tribute for them and returned to Splinter to tell of the most horrible things to come. Eventually Donatello become Splinter's most accomplished apprentice, then Donatello disappeared continuing to fight for justice in memory of his brothers."
